Up

Up is probably one of my favorite animated movies that has come out in the past 5 years, (and Despicable Me). Anyways, I was blown away when I stumbled upon this (via Black*Eiffel)
Apparently National Geographic is doing a series called "How Hard Can It Be?" coming out this fall. For one of the episodes they recreated the house from "Up", balloons and all, to see if it was possible. There were 300 balloons, each about 8 feet tall. After two weeks of working the crew finished it and flew in it for about an hour (they even broke records for flying really high... 10,000 feet). Amazing right.
p.s. I am really wanting one of these 8 foot tall balloons.

P.s. I'm a Valentine just for you...

So in kindergarten or 1st grade... sometime when I was little, I can't remember... we made little signs to wear for valentines day that said "I'm a valentine just for you!" and had heart shaped antennas to match. Well this year for Valentines my sister made a matching one and took a couple valentines pictures of Tessa, Fritz & some friends. I love them.

Valentines is coming.

I visited my sisters a few weeks ago and both had this cute handcut banner for valentines day:I loved it and have been craving some sort of Valentines decoration ever since. This weekend I saw these gold doily hearts at the store.I had to find something to do with them, so I bought them and some red thread, totaling 2 bucks and decided to make a banner. I am so happy to feel a little festive for pretty much the only holiday in February and it only took about 2 minutes... Here's how it turned out:

So behind...

So much has happened since my last post... Thanksgiving, husband's birthday, I graduated, Christmas, New Years, weddings, more birthdays, etc. etc. I won't drive everyone crazy and do an essay post to try and catch up but here's a quick summary. December 11th was Dillon's birthday. He is really great, especially his singing in the car (and knowing every single word to every single song), being so smart studying for o-chem (I cannot even pronounce half of the words in that class), so many other reasons. Here's a little from his birthday:

Ice cream birthday cake, lasted almost all the way through finals week... amazing.
After finals were over we went up and saw the lights at temple square to remind us that it was actually Christmas after being shut in our basement through finals. Then went to dinner to celebrate everything... Dillon's birthday finally, finals being over, and me being done with college.

Happy Birthday Brookie!

My sister Brooke's birthday was today.
I wish I could have been there to celebrate, and hang out with her and cute Fritz. I was kind of tempted to photoshop my photo into this picture... but I don't have paint or anything so it didn't work out too well.
But anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE!
So happy to have you as a sister.
